One thing I'll look forward to is getting letters, pictures, post cards, and care packages from my family and friends. If you're feeling generous, here's a list of care package items that I'd like. Also read the tips on the bottom of the page!
Care Package Wish List:
- Handwritten letters, cards, and family photos (these are the most important to me!!!) - Shea Moisture hair products (moisture or thickening formulas) - Liquid hair grease/essential oils (lavendar, peppermint, rosemary, avocado, almond, etc) - Ground coffee beans - Flaming Hot Cheetos - Drink mixes (hot chocolate, iced tea, Hawaiian Punch, or Kool-Aid) - Antibacterial hand sanitizer (well bagged) - Burts Bee's lip balm - Lotion - Old magazines (Essence, Ebony) - Deodorant (Mitchem Women's 48-hour)
Tips:
- While packing the box, make a list of everything that's in there. The post office will require a list of all items on the customs form.
- Letters and packages have a better chance of arriving if (1) sent in a USPS flat rate box; (2) the envelope/packaging does not use interesting stamps, (3) the package is in a sturdy, well-taped box (to discourage tampering), (4) breakable items are protected with padding and all liquid items and food are DOUBLE wrapped in ziploc bags.
I have to keep my address confidential, so please contact me (using the "Contact me" section) if you'd like the address.
